MANILAi01, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Geraldine Faith Econg as the anti-graft court’s head.
Based on an appointment letter dated January 7, Econg will replace Amparo Cabotaje-Tang, who retired on November 8 last year.
The latter served as Sandiganbayan’s presiding justice since October 7, 2013.

Prior to this appointment, Econg served as the chairperson of the anti-graft court’s Second Division since January 20, 2016.
